Cozy Coffee Bar Ideas

We need coffee this year more than ever. Many of us are working from home. We’re educating our kids in addition to our regular careers. We’re solving the world’s problems one Zoom meeting at a time.

All the while, there is one thing powering us through these challenging times. Okay, maybe two things, but we’re not going to talk about setting up a home wine bar… let’s just focus on coffee.

The concept of a home coffee bar is not brand new, but now that we need our fix at home, it’s become incredibly relevant.

Fortunately on the spectrum of home projects, this one is both fun and easy. So in the interests of a happier home, here’s how to turn the morning grind into a happy ritual.

Setting It Up…

Choose a statement piece of furniture, whether that’s a colorful sideboard, midcentury bar cart or minimalist shelving unit. Above, this bold black and white look could easily be replicated by putting wallpaper behind a white glossy-finish bookcase.

Add decor, such as energizing or inspiring framed art (hint, hint). Floating wall shelves, plants and seasonal items – think white ceramic pumpkins – make it extra special.

Collect your favorite mugs, the coffee making device(s) of your choice, sweeteners and the like – voila. You are now equipped to savor the first cup instead of slugging it.
